—And thus was April Fools and Easter born on the same day—-

My thoughts so many times.

How accurately this describes the relationship dynamic between logic and religion

It is comical why, and tragic how my family treats me at this point. Like I’m hopeless. :S

-For not being the LDS, extrovert role model they wanted and for breaking up their eternal family-

If I hate the church for anything it’s for helping to destroy our family by one, positioning pseudo-morals to serve as grounds as judgment (even though said morals are BS), and two, giving them false hopes that can only make me come off as a selfish bastard.

It makes me feel physically sick sometimes how things have gone and
how they’re likely to go at this rate.

ald;kfke;k;a X_X :( *Emotional roller coaster as I think of it more*

Ex-Mormon? Want a friendly, accepting group of people online that regularly post interesting stuff? This forum might be for you!

It’s worth checking out even if you’re ex-mormon and don’t need the support!  They can post some really interesting or really funny content!

And a warning for LDS people, you will find some (if not all) of the content offensive.  So just a warning if it wasn’t obvious. :)

* And I know this isn’t relevant to a lot of you, and I apologize *

Preacher neighbor…

Have a neighbor that might be a pastor or a reverend or some type of minister, I don’t know.

He’s this big black guy, seems pretty friendly, and I say hi to him every so often, but he wears hoodies every day with tape on his jacket that spells out a message.

It’s always something about Jesus or love or Hell…. Mostly Hell.  He uses a lot of shock tactics in his little messages.

Why do I mention this now?  Because I think you will find them a little amusing, I’ll post them as I see them.  I guess there’ll be a little “Minister Message” series going until further notice.

Atrocity of the Day?

Only so fitting for this blog, I have decided to start featuring an atrocity every day (that I can get on Tumblr that is).  So as an openere I’m going back to my previous LDS beliefs and featuring a controversy that still haunts the Mormon church and pervades in the shadow of LDS members’ ignorance.

So today’s historical atrocity goes to the Latter-Day Saint church and their historical practice of polygamy.
Priesthood holders (aged, white males), especially heads of the church, were known for having many wives.  Noteably, Joseph Smith (church founder) had 30+ wives in his life (some of whom were 14), Brigham Young also having 50+ wives and bearing 50+ biological children in his life time.

The best part of it all was it being “God’s work” but also very secretive (or “sacred” if you want to sugar coat it).

For more in depth information on Joseph Smith’s wives visit:

There is plenty of “fanfiction” associated with the Second Great Awakening, which Moronism was ultimately birthed from.*taken from /r/atheism

Words of wisdom.

Why do theists sometimes seem so inclined to raise their steeples so high, even when the poor and afflicted live so low?

I think there was something in the New Testament about giving up your possessions, that wealth often leads to sin, and that it’s very difficult for the rich to enter the kingdom of God.  I mean, Christ had a fancy church, wore suits, and avoided the sick too, right?  Why would someone ever look at a particularly wealthy Christian like he was/is a hypocrite?  Pffft atheists….

stfu-theists:

Once again Christians comparing Homosexuality to Pedophilia.

This is surprisingly common in my experience.  Being X-LDS I heard from certain congregants and members including in Sunday School, during family discussions, during Seminary, several opinions (especially during the heat of Prop 8 Mormon authorities brought on their church) that if homosexuality was allowed, thus “the sacred institution of marriage being dissolved”, that next we’d be allowing polygamy (which made me lol considering this was from LDS CHURCH MEMBERS), then we’d allow pedophilia, and then bestiality.  This is a slippery slope, a logical fallacy which hopefully is obvious to the majority of people.  I am glad I didn’t buy into that shit.
